HUMMUS WITH A DIFFRENT LOOK...
HUMMUS CON UN LOOK DIFERENTE...

I love dipping my raw veggies in some kind of smooth sauce ...guacamole...hummus...eggplant paté.....this time I had a lot of chickpeas at home and some leftover black beans in the fridge so I thought that it would be a good idea to mix them together and see what happends....
The truth is that the combination is absolutly delicious!

Recipe:

-Precooked chickpeas, about two cups
-1 cup precooked black beans
-Juice of two lemons
-2 tbs cumin, powder
-1 clove garlic
- Bunch of fresh mint leaves
-2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
- Sea salt

Bring all ingredients into blender, add a bit of mineral water of leftover water from the cooked chickpeas if the paste is too thick. Add salt to taste and serve with raw veggies or gluten free bread.
Enjoy!

Receta:

- 2 tazas de garbanzos cocidos
- 1 taza de alubias negras cocidas
- El zumo de dos limones
- 2 cucharadas de comino en polvo
- 1 diente de ajo
- Manojo de hierbabuena
- 2 cucharadas de aceite de oliva extra virgen
- Sal marina

A disfrutar!

SUNNY SUNDAY...

It´s October and yet beautiful weather here in Marbella...we are off to a fleamarket and I am waiting for my sister to come home as we are going together...She is on a detox diet that I formulated for her so I made a nice smoothie for her as a nice breakfast.....

As she is a very sporty girl I had to adjust the diet to make sure we would have an amazing energy to continue with her hectic life...mother..working like crazy and somehow still has time to do sport..tennis is her passion...so when she asked me to give her a good and suitable "detox diet" I gave her very little time for 24h juicing as this is not well tolerated with hours of heavy sport....
This smoothie has it all...vitamins...high quality fiber...antioxidants....cholophyl....you name it!

Recipe of this amazing smoothie:

-1 ripe mango
-2 peaches
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 zucchini

All fruits and veggies that I mention are of course organic...blend them all together in a blender with mineral water...drink inmediatly to make sure you take all the vitamins!

La receta de este magnífico smoothie:

-1 mango maduro
- 2 melocotones

SECOND WORKSHOP AT D'OLIVA....

This time the workshop was intreeging as I was about to feed 8 doctors from the "Costa del Sol" refference hospital here in Marbella....I prepared myself to be asked many questions but must say the night went very well ...it was fun and had a beautiful audience...

As already mentioned in a previous post, this time as a request from the "Docs" I made two plates, one was a ceviche and the second one was a sweet salmon tartar..two raw and marinated fish dishes that are not only very healthy as they contein a lot of essencial fatty acids (omega 3) but are delicious!!!

To go with these beautiful plates, two organic wines were presented aswell as part of the workshop, these great wines, one white young wine and a red wine were given by the shop D'OLIVA, that offer wines aswell in their section D'OVINO. If you are coming to the beautiful Andalusian region and you are heading this way please come to visit this beautiful shop....extra virgin olive oils, all from Spain which won at least one or more prices each as being the best extra virgin olive oils.....I only cook with these amazing oils and I am not going back to less....remember that oils tend to form cancerigenous molecules when treated at high temperatures...being coconut oil the one that can resist well to these high temperatures....extra virgin olive oil, when it´s of great quality like they sell in this shop, is good aswell for cooking, as it resist  very high temperatures too.....

Here I show you some of the pictures of the workshop..enjoy!!
